The individual building elements are developed consequentially from a reading of a chosen precedent study – in this instance, the Munster City Library by Bolles+Wilson Architects – to produce an evolving tectonic which operates as an interplay between thick and thin elements, experimenting with manipulation of perceived weight and solid form by controlling it under a planar language of folded pieces.
