The project looks to design an art gallery in the Old Town of Edinburgh, within the parameters set by individual research and critical analysis of art in its development, its display, whilst also taking precedent from existing gallery projects worldwide.

The facility focuses on a studio for a residential artist, bringing the process of creation and artistic development into the public realm by displaying all aspects of the artist’s work. The notion of slow change and development is expressed through the weathering of the copper clad mass running through the core of the building.
